In this episode, Genvieve walks you through a simple 10-minute Monday ritual. Four questions that clear out what's weighing you down and set you up to show up grounded, intentional, and confident all week long. No scripts. No hacks. [00:00:00] Talk about something today that most people honestly never actually have anybody tell them about. And it is your personal energy, because so many of you are working really, really hard. And maybe this is you. And if it's not you, maybe it's someone that you know or someone that you're coaching or someone that you're leading. But it's really important that we have this conversation because we do not talk about it enough. [00:00:23] But that is. Is that effort isn't everything. As a matter of fact, it's really all about your personal energy and resetting that energy every single week, which most people do not do. And if you're not resetting your energy every single week, y', all, what ends up happening is you carry trash with you into the next week. And by trash, I mean it's just stuff that was no longer useful to you that you never bothered to let go of. [00:00:57] So week after week, because you haven't been taught to reset on a weekly basis, you carry old stories, old losses, you know, old resentments into old ideas about yourself. You carry all of those into the next week. And if you're not careful, what ends up happening is your conversations don't go the way you want. [00:01:21] The posts don't land the way you want. You have trouble with relationships because it stems from this core inability to reset your energy and your identity week after week. Now, listen, I'm a hustler, so I get it. [00:01:39] I do. And a matter of fact, some of you are probably listening and thinking like, oh, could you just give me some good sales verbiage? Right? But this is what I'm trying to tell you. [00:01:48] The sales verbiage only works to the degree that your identity allows it to do so. This is why having decades of experience as a C suite executive in sales and sales enablement. This is why I can tell you you can stand up and train 20,000 people on the exact same thing and only have 500 people use it and. And get results from it. It is all about identity. And if you are not resetting your identity every single week, it's like carrying a backpack that you are just adding things to and never taking anything out of it. So if you can imagine, after a few months, that thing's going to get pretty heavy. After a few years, it's going to be unbearable. It's going to be exhausting. I mean, I want you to think about it. Any failed conversation you have, oh, in the backpack, any boundary that you didn't set in the backpack, any conversation that you had that didn't Go the way you wanted it to in the backpack. Exhaustion. Exhaustion that you didn't address in the backpack. [00:02:58] Resentment, right? Old habits in the backpack. And you just keep going, week after week and month after month, until one day that backpack is so, so heavy. [00:03:11] But here's the thing, it's an invisible backpack. So you don't really know why you feel so stinking exhausted. So today we're going to break this down and listen, I'm coming from a place here of been there, done it, bought the T shirt, I am the queen of running. And then thinking you're going to celebrate when you hit that next T title, which you get that next zero on your paycheck when you achieve whatever the next achievement is. [00:03:41] I have done that. And if you're sitting there yourself right now, you may actually start to feel what we all eventually feel. And that's the catching up of the not resetting. [00:03:57] So we're going to break this down today. It's actually a very simple ritual. It's, it's the 10 minute Monday reset. It is four questions, 10 minutes and you're done. So I'm going to go through these four questions, listen to them now, grab a notebook, come back, listen to them later, right? But I want you to do this every single Monday and then check back in with me in two months and tell me, I'm not even going to ask you if your business is going to be different. I just want you to tell me how, how dramatically different your business is going to be. So question number one is what I call the identity question. [00:04:35] The question is really simple. What did I not give myself this week that I should have? [00:04:42] And this is the one thing that us overachievers raising my hand as I talk here, this is what we never do. [00:04:51] And before overachievers, you ask, how is this going to help me sell? Tell me the tactics. Here's what I want you to know. [00:04:58] That 95% of sales results are driven based on identity, not tactics. We know that for a fact. [00:05:09] So more than what you say, more than what you know, like the scripts, the closes, the follow up sequences, more than that, it is this one thing, it is who you believe yourself to be coupled with what you expect for yourself. And if your identity is your success engine, and it is that success engine needs fuel and you are the person who fuels it by investing in you. [00:05:44] So last week, where did you not give yourself rest? [00:05:49] Where did you not stop and give yourself forgiveness? [00:05:53] Where did you push through when really a pause would have been better? [00:05:59] Where did you not keep a boundary that you should have? [00:06:04] Or where did you let someone walk right through a boundary without saying anything? [00:06:10] Here's the other side. [00:06:13] Where did you not let yourself feel the success that you already have? [00:06:21] Where did you tell yourself, I'll celebrate later? Where did you tell yourself, it was my team, it wasn't me? [00:06:28] Where are you discrediting yourself when you should be crediting yourself? And here's what I want you to know. You cannot build a success identity with by postponing your experience of it. [00:06:44] In other words, you have to be that successful person today. You have to be that while you're building toward whatever is next. So it's so important. [00:06:57] So for one question, write down one to three things that you didn't give yourself last week. [00:07:08] Was it rest, forgiveness, celebration, gratitude. [00:07:15] What was it? Fun? Whatever it was, just write it down. And then what I want you to do is I want you to schedule that into this week. Not as an afterthought, like write it down and then schedule it into this week. So what I'm talking about is, let's say you. You didn't schedule any fun last week. You didn't have fun because you were so busy. So, so busy. I want you to schedule some fun into this week. If you didn't have moments of rest and relaxation, I want you to schedule that into your business week. It is totally necessary to put your business down from time to time. Schedule that in. Were there hard conversations that you needed to have but you didn't? [00:07:57] I want you to think about it, and I want you to schedule that in. [00:08:02] It's that simple. What's the one thing that you did not give yourself last week that you should have? Question number two. [00:08:12] Where am I working from? Avoidance versus intention. [00:08:16] Now, this is a spicy one because nobody wants to admit that they're avoiding something, but I'll tell you what it looks like. It looks like I'm reshuffling papers. I am redoing the highlights on my Instagram. I'm spending a ton of time with chat, cheap pt. I'm not calling people. I'm not following up with people. [00:08:35] That's all avoidance. [00:08:37] And often, often busy work is actually avoidance. So when you feel really busy, I really do want you to stop and ask yourself, am I avoiding something here? [00:08:49] I want you to look back at last week, and I want you to ask yourself, what were the three most important activities that drive my sales success? [00:09:02] And where was I doing them? [00:09:04] Where was I doing them? Where was I not doing them? Like Did I reach out to new prospects? [00:09:11] Did I follow up with existing leads? [00:09:15] Did I deepen relationships with my current customers? Whatever those are for you, whatever the things were that you're, you're avoiding, dig a little deeper. Even if you did them, ask yourself, was I doing it consistently and did I do them with intention? And if not, why, why? Why didn't I fit it in? What was I doing instead? That's where your avoidance is. That's the thing you need to schedule first this week, not last, but real quick, real quick. Before we get into questions three and four, if what we're talking about today really does resonate with you, if you're like, oh my gosh, I wish I knew this sooner. I wish I knew that identity drives results, I want to invite you to something really special. I have a free seven day sales confidence transformation built inside of my sales confidence school studio. It's seven days to shift your mindset where you can drop the pushy, spammy energy that probably isn't working for you anyway and step into a version of yourself that people actually want to buy from that business builders actually want to follow. [00:10:28] And as part of that seven day experience, you get a complimentary personal business evaluation with me. We actually sit down on a zoom, you and me, mano a mano, and we look at what's working, what isn't, and where your biggest opportunities are now. And it's free. [00:10:46] It's seven days. And honestly, I will be honest, most people who do the seven days don't want to leave. And that's okay because that would be great if you stayed, but it's also okay if you're like, meh, this isn't for me. It will be though. The link is in the show notes. Go check it out and then come back here because we have two more questions that are equally as important to get through. [00:11:11] All right, so question number three. [00:11:14] What one, two or three relationships do I need to invest 10 minutes in to this week? And hello, this is not business. [00:11:23] This is, this is not business relationships. This is your personal life. These are the people you love. These are the relationships that matter to you. [00:11:34] These are the ones that make your life full. Your family, your friends, a mentor, a colleague that you've been meaning to check in with, but you've been so busy or just somebody that's been on your mind for a while. Because here's what I see with people I coach. By default, they have a social calendar, if they even have one, because it usually includes just the people they work with. [00:11:56] And it is a default calendar that repeats itself week after week without any intention. Same people, same conversation, same routines. [00:12:05] And if someone's not already in that rotation, they're not getting the best of you, and they're not actually getting any of you. [00:12:16] Success is a lifestyle thing. It's not a bank account. It is not money. It's not a title. It's a lifestyle. [00:12:26] And the top 1% of salespeople, entrepreneurs, and network marketers, they understand something that the rest of the. The rest of us are still figuring out. [00:12:37] You are in the relationship business. [00:12:40] You are not in the product business. You are not in the opportunity business, the relationship business. [00:12:48] And that starts with how intentionally you show up for the people already in your life. [00:12:58] So this week, who needs 10 minutes of your genuine undistracted. Not to sell for them, not to recoup for them, just to deeply connect with them. Time. [00:13:11] Write down their three names and put it on the calendar. [00:13:19] Okay, so on to question four. [00:13:22] What do we need to let go of? [00:13:24] So what am I going to stop doing? And this is the inventory question. This is where you open up that backpack and you actually look in it. It and you're like, man, why is this still in here? [00:13:39] Because after months, years, or decades in your business, you have habits, stories, meetings, conversations and routines and versions of you that are not serving you anymore. And because you've never stopped long enough to just look and then say, I'm not carrying this anymore, it is weighing you down. [00:14:01] This is my favorite question. [00:14:04] So this week, I want you to find one thing to let go of. Is it a story? [00:14:10] Is it something you've been telling yourself that's derogatory about yourself that just keeps playing? [00:14:17] Maybe it's people don't buy. In my area, my world market is all tapped out. Or I'm not a person who's going to ever be good at this, or I'm not good enough, or these people don't care about me. These are stories that are meant to protect you from something. And we're going to thank. We're going to thank them for the protection that they served, but we're going to say thank you. And there. There's no need for them to protect you anymore. [00:14:45] As a matter of fact, they're costing you, so we're going to let them go. It might be a behavior like checking your phone every 10 minutes. It might be saying yes to meetings and time with people during work hours that don't move your business forward. It might be working until midnight, wondering why you can't show up with energy and enthusiasm the next morning. It might be your approach. [00:15:10] It might be leading with the product. Instead of connection, it could be copying and pasting the same messages to everyone in your DMs. Don't make me vomit here. It could be posting content that someone else has posted, but it doesn't sound like you at all. [00:15:26] Just pick one thing. There's one thing every week that you need to stop doing. [00:15:32] What's the one thing this week that you need to stop doing? Write it down, commit to it. And when you catch yourself doing it, because you will, right? [00:15:44] Just begin again. [00:15:46] This is the whole point of the reset. It's not perfection. [00:15:52] It's just a consistent practice of beginning again. [00:15:57] Remember, your tactics only work as well as your identity allows them to let that sink in. It's so important. And remember, this is all super important because your tactics only work as well as your identity allows them to. So let that sink in. [00:16:14] This is important. [00:16:16] So let's recap. Four questions. Ten minutes. Question number one what did I not give myself last week that I should have? Question number two where was I working from? Avoidance instead of intention? [00:16:29] 3. What relationships need 10 more minutes of my time this week? And 4. What am I going to stop doing? Do this every single Monday for four weeks. Just one answer per question will do. [00:16:41] And by the end of the month you will have 16 small adjustments to reshaping your identity and getting the results that you're looking for. Not because you worked harder, but because you worked from a better version of yourself. [00:16:56] This honestly is the most effective tool in your sales kit. I know it's not what we normally talk about because it's not a script, it's not a follow up system, it's not a social media strategy. [00:17:09] But it's you. [00:17:11] It's you showing up clear, grounded, intentional, confident every single week. [00:17:21] If this episode lit up something for you, I want you to do one thing before you close out of here. I want you to head to the link in the show notes and I want you to sign up for that free seven day sales confidence transformation designed specifically for network marketers who are done with the pushy, spammy hey girl approach and you're ready to connect with people and run a business on impact and consistent sales and consistent income. Over the seven days we will dig into everything we've just talked about and then some. You'll walk away with a complete, completely different relationship to sales, your business and yourself. And as part of that experience, you'll have the opportunity to book a personal evaluation with yours truly where we will actually look at your specific situation, map out your biggest growth opportunities right now, and at the end of the evaluation, even if you don't continue, you'll know exactly what you need to do. It's free and it's seven days and the only thing you have to lose is the version of yourself that has been working too long, too hard from an old outdated script and identity. Get the results that you deserve. The link is in the show notes and listen. Subscribe if you haven't and leave a review if this episode helped you. [00:18:36] And when you leave a review, take a screenshot and DM it to me with the word reset and I'll send you an AI prompt that will help you work through the identity reset prompt every single week. And yes, share this with one person on your team who you know needs to hear it. [00:18:54] This is how we grow and this is how we're able to keep pouring into your success. [00:19:00] Until next week, I'm Jen V Ev Scori. Go be the best version of yourself.
