She explains why so many women feel burned out, misaligned, and confused about what to sell or post—not because they are lazy, but because they are hustling without intention. You’ll learn the difference between goals and intention, how specific decisions activate your brain to filter out distractions, and why shifting from side-hustle energy to true CEO intention is essential for building aligned, sustainable, legacy-level income in 2026.

[00:00:00] So you're listening to the first episode in a series that I'm calling Intentional Business Building over Toxic Hustle, Intention Over Hustle for short. And we're kicking things off with a foundational episode here on what exactly is intention? How can we use intention to grow and not burn out? Because yes, yes, turn to the person next to you. If you're in your car, look at the person next to you in the gym and say, there is a way to build your income and still protect your peace. As a matter of fact, intention will remove 80% of your noise and your drama. You know, we talked the last few episodes about how to create goals for 2026. Calm confidence goals with I am so super, which I am super excited about. [00:00:59] But the next step is to meld those goals with some serious intention. [00:01:07] And I'm here to tell you, intention is indeed the secret sauce to why your business is not growing as quickly as you want, why you are not finding as many customers as you want, and why you feel burned out. And if we do not protect that now, we can expect more of the same in 2026. [00:01:28] Ain't nobody got time for that. If you're new here, welcome. My name is Genvi Evskori. I am a former chief sales executive for a $350 million international health and wellness brand. I am a serial entrepreneur. And yes, like you, I did it all the hard way. I had success. I've made the money. It's been fun until. [00:01:53] Until it wasn't. And so now I teach women how to create sustainable, fun, aligned businesses from a place of truth and scalability. [00:02:04] So grab a cup of coffee, take a deep breath, relax your shoulders. [00:02:11] I know I'm saying that and you're like, just get on with it. But listen, fellow former hustlers, we are learning how to show up with a with a grounded, leadership, calm, confident presence instead of this crazy hustle. [00:02:27] So if you, like me, have been asking yourself for the last couple of years, is there a better way to grow my business? I mean, I feel like I am so fired up about my product or service, I feel like I'm on board with this mission. [00:02:45] I not done creating impact. But I'll tell you what I am done with. [00:02:50] I am done creating burnout. I am done with being misaligned. I am done with showing up in a way that doesn't feel like me. [00:03:01] Now I have to say confession time here. [00:03:04] No one is more surprised than me to be on the anti toxic hustle bus. [00:03:10] And it is because I had so many Misconceptions about how I was performing, how people perform, and also, honestly, sales, psychology, we are all told a bunch of lies. We really are about creating business and hustling and that we should be hustlers, and that hustling is good. And if you just keep showing up, you are going to eventually arrive. [00:03:35] But the truth is, you might get there, and some of us did. [00:03:39] But I'm telling you right now, you're not going to stay there. I know that's a hard truth, but I'm telling you this because I love you and I don't want to see you ruin your confidence or, or your business or doubt that you can do it again, because you can. But you have to understand the success strategies that successful people know. [00:04:02] And they know it either consciously and they can tell you about it, or they know it subconsciously, and then they can't tell you about it. And they think it's all about the effort, but it's not. It's aligned effort. It's intention. [00:04:17] Because when your effort does not have intention attached to it, that is what creates exhaustion and burnout. Let me tell you this. Hustle without intention is like flooring the gas pedal while you steer yourself in a direction, except you're not really sure if that's the place you want to go or if you want to stay there. And I've done it myself. [00:04:45] Step number one, honestly and truly is in all business success is intend to win the game. [00:04:53] And you have to do more than just have a side hustle, y'. All. I mean, I love that term, side hustle, but side hustle is like right above hobby. Side hustle is like, I'm going to do it when I have a little time and I want to show up and get cash for showing up. Side hustle, if you want to create a business income, you have to have a business income intention. [00:05:20] And this is where so many women just miss that first step. And I did it. I did it, too. When I first started in and both of my businesses that were successful, there were some that weren't. But I really approached the whole thing like, like, let's see how it goes. Let's see how it goes. I'm not going to be emotionally attached to the outcome. One, because I was skeptical in one case and two, because I didn't really believe that I had what it took to make it work. [00:05:56] So there are various reasons that people don't intend to have successful businesses, but you got to change that. You got to start right now with, hey, I intend to Make. And honestly, regardless of all the hype and the rah rah and the yeah, you can have it all, the truth is, is if you're Starting at like $5,000 a month, it's highly unlikely that you're going to bounce to $20,000 a month. In no time flat are you picking up when I'm laying down. And the reason that this is important is because your nervous system knows the truth. Your body knows the truth. You inherently and unconsciously know whether or not you're a $20,000 a month kind of person or a $500 a month person. And I have to tell you, if your small shift, your small shift in intention makes all the difference in the world, and it does, you should make the small shift. Y', all, I have seen thousands of business leaders all working the same number of hours, all of them same number of hours. And I'll tell you, a person with intention actually works fewer hours than the person that hasn't made decisions about their business. [00:07:21] And they are getting further faster. [00:07:25] So let's talk this through because I really need you to understand. [00:07:31] Cause I want you to be successful. I really need you to understand that if you're feeling a sense of burnout, it is not the work. [00:07:39] It is misalignment. [00:07:41] So let's talk in depth about intention. [00:07:47] Intention isn't the word of the year. It's not that vision board moment, which feels good. I get it. [00:07:54] Intention is a decision. [00:07:57] It's a decision. [00:07:59] It is you saying to yourself, self, here's what we're going to achieve this year in a very specific way. [00:08:10] So I'm going to grow my business is not a specific decision, lovey. It's just not. You have to ask yourself, in what way are you going to build your business? Is it? I'm going to create a solid, sustainable offer this year that generates X amount of money. [00:08:37] Is it? I am going to partner with X amount of people. Is it? I am going to speak on this particular topic on X amount of stages. [00:08:49] Is it? I am going to create 500 to $1,000, 20 to $50,000 a month, a year, a quarter. What is it? It is about making decisions. There are so many of you that are so, so capable and you're doing all, well, almost all the right things. But there's not that little oomph at the end of your activity that tells people, I'm serious. Like, like, I am so serious. [00:09:25] Goals are a destination. [00:09:29] Intention is the plan of action. You know, how you take a trip and I'm Gonna use this as an example. You take a trip and you decide ahead of time, this is where I'm going. We are going to drive to San Diego from Scottsdale, Arizona. [00:09:48] Now, the reason that that becomes important is because once I've made the decision, something in your brain called the reticular activating system is engaged. [00:09:59] And that reticular activating system does not get engaged without asbestos. The specificity. The specificity that reticular activating system does not get activated without a specific decision. [00:10:17] You see, once I make a decision, then I'm going to start to do things to get me there in a particular time frame. I'm going to start looking at maps, I'm going to start picking out routes. And. And why this is so important is because the specific decision means we're not going to do the myriad of a gazillion things that are available. [00:10:47] Instead, I'm going to drive down Highway 1, and I'm not getting off at exit 25, I'm not getting off at exit 26, I'm not getting off at Exit 35. Or, oh, my gosh, there's a water park. That looks fun. Not going there. [00:11:07] Oh, my gosh, look, we're going to pass, you know, Palm Springs. We should go. Not going there, right? You see what I'm saying? Are you picking up what I'm laying down? It really is like having blinders on to help you where you want to go faster. And in business, if you have no decision, if you have no intention, here's the problem, and here's why you get wrapped up in all of these distractions, because you start listening to and paying attention to other people's decisions. [00:11:45] Does that make sense? Like your lack of a decision means that you're gonna get swayed by every Tom, Dick and Harry's intention or decision. [00:11:58] I would put to you that without intention, you are at risk of never actually getting to your goal, because every sparkly little thing is going to take you off in a different direction. [00:12:11] This is why you may not know what to sell. This is why you may not know what to post. This is why you may not know who you're talking to. [00:12:21] And this is why you lack confidence. [00:12:24] This is why you chase, because you're not really sure who you serve and what you do to help them. And so what ends up happening is there's a sale. So you promote these products, you promote a sale instead of promoting, hey, here's what I am committed to doing this year. And if that's aligning with your particular intentions, we should work together. You see, that is the resonating message that most people find attracting. That is the resonating message that most people do not feel like, feels pushy. And when you're very clear about, like, let me tell you, for example. Let me tell you, for example. So as many of you know, I started a coaching school within the last month. Within the last month. And from all, like, very soft launch results, it's going very well. I mean, it's, it's really going very well. But I can get caught up in like, hustle, hustle, hustle. Oh my gosh, I should be doing X, Y and Z. Maybe I should do this instead. And by the way, the more I scroll other people's feeds, I'm. Listen, I am sure any day now ChatGPT is going to be like, girl, you have multiple personality disorder. You're at like a 25 and you need to be at like an 8 and you need to stick to one particular thing. Anybody else. This is also why it's really hard to follow a bunch of different people even within your same industry or channel. Because if you aren't clear on your intention, your decisions, what it is you want to do, it can be very easy to get swept up in their goals, their values and their decisions. And remember what I told you the key to burnout was it is misalignment. [00:14:31] So I, like you, have been through many seasons where I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do. And I will tell you, I spent years spinning and I convinced myself I love this and I'm having fun and, and I was. But what I really wanted was a legacy income for my family. What I really wanted were choices and resources for me and my family for decades to come. You see that? [00:15:00] Like, do you see that when that is your intention? When your intention is, I am going to create a legacy business for me and my family. My husband and I are partnered. We are going to create a legacy income for our family. [00:15:16] Right? That's. Our blinders are on. So when someone comes along and says, you know what you should do? You should start a franchise. Oh, no, thank you very much. When someone comes along and says, hey, you should join the circus, it's really fun and you get to wear sparkly clothes. [00:15:33] No, no, because we're doing this. And when I have created the additional intention of and I'm going to do it without losing my soul and burning out, then I additionally start saying no to techniques and other little spammy tactics that do not align with who I am. Because we all have different intentions. There's nothing wrong with somebody being in a different stage of their business than I am. But I'll tell you what, it doesn't make sense for me to take advice from them or for them to take advice from me every time, every time I've gotten clear on what my intention is for the year. And yes, it can change for the quarter, but you have to start somewhere. I stopped panicking, I stopped chasing, I stopped people pleasing and my brain felt so focused and so, so calm and it flipped me from desperation to leadership. And I'll tell you, nothing feels better than working on your leadership skills. And when you work on your leadership in sales and business, the whole world opens up. [00:16:57] So I'm going to ask you, what decisions have you made about your business? [00:17:03] And sometimes we've made decisions that are counterintuitive to where we want to go. It can't just be I want to make X amount of dollars. It can't just because those are goals. Those are goals. It can't just be I want to get to my next rank or my next title. It has to be uber specific. This is what I'm saying yes to. [00:17:27] This is what I'm saying no to. For me, it started off with, well, you know what? I. I'm going to make the decision of being the CEO of my own business. I'm going to make the decision to keep working on this and shifting and shifting until I find the right answers. [00:17:48] See, a lot of people have never made the decision to keep going, have never made the decision to stop quitting emotionally, have never made the decision to learn the hard things or get the kind of support that is going to get you to your next level? [00:18:09] So ask yourself, what's the one decision that I need to make that I haven't yet that would create incremental momentum in my business? [00:18:21] Is it I need to learn how to create better programs, better offers? Is it that I need to learn how to bring in and sustain business builders? [00:18:33] Is it that I need to learn how to have a steady flow of new customers and how to talk to them in a way that feels aligned and meaningful so that I want to do it every day and it doesn't feel all salesy? [00:18:46] Is it that I want to spend more time doing the things I love in my business? [00:18:53] What is it you're totally capable of making that decision. As a matter of fact, making that decision is something that you have more control over than anything else in your business. [00:19:07] And before we get full fledged into 2026. [00:19:12] That is why I want us to have this conversation. [00:19:16] And in the future episodes, we're going to talk through some components of creating intention, including a one sentence framework that that becomes your anchor for everything you're going to do in 2026. So you're going to want to stick around here for that one. [00:19:35] And if you aren't on our small shifts weekly tips newsletter, you need to get on that fast. I'll put those in. I'll put that link in the show notes for you. And I'm looking forward to us all having a completely aligned an intentional 2,026. I'll see you next time.
